Client Info
The Saskatoon Industry Education Council (SIEC) is a non-profit working with 3 school divisions and the Tribal Council schools in Saskatoon. They’re a bridge between Saskatchewan’s career opportunities and the Saskatoon youth.
Project Goal
The SIEC wanted their conference to be virtual this year, so they needed a new identity for their website. They asked me to design a website that fits their unique style but was professional, intuitive, and secure.
Homepage
The homepage summarizes all the important elements of the site in 3 parts, Identity, Announcement, and Speakers. This allows someone to “digest” the information as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The entire Contact Conference brand underwent a complete style refresh, so it was important that it still featured the familiar “Contact” logo.

Speakers
The 2021 Conference featured 40 speakers, each with their own images, biographies, and social links. So I need to organize the information intuitively.
I settled on using a simple grid, one that was easy to read at a glance, but also let a user click on each profile to learn more about that speaker.

Keynote Speakers
Each of the 4 keynote speakers was given their own page. This gave them a sense of importance and allowed the user to focus on each of their unique biographies.

Schedule
The schedule section fits all the detailed information about the entire conference on a single page, including sessions, times, descriptions, speakers, and more. There’s also the option to download the schedule as a PDF.
To save on space, all the descriptions and speaker biographies are hidden unless clicked.
Did you know that there are over 6000 words on this one page?

Rates
Along with the speakers and schedule, rates are another important part of a virtual conference.
The SIEC wanted the rates information to be clear and concise, but still clean and professional.

Dashboard
It’s very important to me that my clients can edit their websites however and whenever they want to.
Through my priority support, I create custom dashboards for each website so my clients can easily navigate the back-end of the site and view important information like analytics.
